Jay Peak ski resort offers affordable lift tickets.

Major facilities upgrades might be on their way at Jay Peak ski resort; however, a lift ticket pricing system has not changed – it remained simple for the 2009-2010 ski season. I realized it when I opened my excel spreadsheet and prepared myself for a lengthy fine print reading process. Nope, that was not the case with Jay Peak ski resort. I did not need a spreadsheet to layout peaks and troughs of a ski season calendar.

If you are an adult (19+), all you have to do is to grab you skis, jump in a car, drive to Jay Peak ski resort and buy an adult ticket for $67.00. As far as I understand – and you can always check on their site – there are no holiday, Sunday or Midweek rates – just one price valid seven days a week.

Too expensive? Get yourself a passport card for $25.00. You will pay $49.00 for you first five visits and your sixth day will be free. Of course, you could just pay for a 5-Day lift ticket and end up with the $49.00 per day deal (245/5=49). However, if we factor in a free day that comes with your sixth visit, the total cost comes down to $45.00. Plus, it seems – though double check with Jay Peak ski resort – that you can use the passport card whenever you want and not just on consecutive days. In other words move up and ski. There aren’t any excuses not to….
