This is it: the year 2011 is 10 hours away. This is the year of the Rabbit and according to the Chinese zodiac, and some shady looking web sites, it should be slow and quiet. And while an unhurried pace might suit some folks, vertexpress.com will pick up speed. Here is what we have on our minds:
Next year we want to start scraping information off Facebook walls, Tweeter and other social networks. Why? Because there is a myriad of interesting and dynamic data.
Our original focus was on Vermont; Next year, we will expand our coverage to other states. Hopefully, we will find plenty of interesting stats, social conversations, media files and all other things that attract us to mountains.
Did I say that some of us can code? We have been growing startup-ish ideas and hopefully, you will see some interesting applications early next year. Stay tuned…
