Ski Reports: Do You Trust Them?

One day we were driving to one ski resort in Vermont hoping to catch what a morning snow report labeled as “All lifts are up and running. Conditions are very good…” Upon arrival we learned that most lift were shut down and advertised “packed powder with occasional icy spots” turned into solid frozen granular surface. I would not bother writing if it was a one-time event, however, there seems to be a pattern across many ski areas. So, should we trust those ski reports? Let your opinion be heard!
