Snowboarding: poaching Alta’s Facebook wall
Alta is not only known as one of the oldest ski resorts in the U.S. with an average snowfall of 500+ inches per season, it is also one of three remaining ski resorts in America that prohibits snowboarders from shredding its terrain. And so I was somewhat surprised to find snowboard related posts on Alta’s Facebook wall. Apparently, the original poster has been working on a snowboard binding design and wanted to hear other people’s opinions. I can’t say anything about the design as you typically need to test-drive bindings on ski slopes; but I do want to note that the idea has failed on two fronts. First, Alta’s Facebook wall is not an ideal place to ask this type of questions. Second, if the post was intended to generate some Facebook buzz – most likely – it failed to do so: nobody commented, “liked” or “disliked” or shared it..Hmm, I just did
