Unique Mountain House

I always try to round up a group of friends whenever I go for a ski or hike trip. I am a very social person and believe that there is nothing better than to hang out with close friends in a mountain house after a long day of skiing. And it also helps to have a couple of friends to actually afford a vacation mountain home and not a tiny motel room. I just think that renting a house as opposed to a hotel room offers more space, privacy and adds to an overall mountain vacation experience. After all, can you set up a BBQ grill right next to a hot tub in a local hotel? Or put a dozen of ski boots right next to a fireplace in a hotel lobby? Probably not, although exceptions might always exist.

Nevertheless, I always prefer a mountain house to hotels. And I also appreciate a vacation home with a character: be it a unique location, a wrapping deck, external and internal architecture. If you think about, most mountain homes are quite different from each other even though most might be grouped into “A-frames”, “Cabins”, “ranch” etc. And so when I stumpled upon this house, I was truly amazed at how architects managed to infuse modern features and at the same time, preserved traditional mountain home appearance. This particular mountain home was built in Slovenia. Check it out – I bet you will not be disappointed.
