Maine got a fair share of snow thanks to the latest snowstorm. I think these twitts will be remembered for a long time On a side note, I think that skimaine.com should get snow updates directly from ski resorts. The first email of the morning came from Sugarloaf: they got fresh powder. And since things [...]

It looks as if Spring has arrived: today’s snow report is generously sprinkled with words such as “corn snow” and “variable conditions.” The temperatures are forecast to be around 50 degrees or so, and perhaps it is time to start slowly wrapping up this ski season. Looks like it is New York’s turn for powder/wet snow. It is snowing hard in NY while Vermont got somewhere between 1-3″ of new snow last night. Yes, you heard it right – there is a chance for a foot or even two of fresh snow by the end of the week (at least around Jay Peak.) Check out Weather From The Hill and get your gear and snow tires ready.

However, they all use rather cautionary language – so don’t get your hopes too high and check with a snow report. It looks that warmer temperatures and possible rain might ruin the opening weekend. [...]
