Jay Peak resort offers affordable lift tickets.

Major facilities upgrades might be on their way at Jay Peak ski resort; however, a lift ticket pricing system has not changed – it remained simple for the 2009-2010 ski season. I realized it when I opened my excel spreadsheet and prepared myself for a lengthy fine print reading process. Nope, that was not the case with Jay Peak ski resort. I did not need a spreadsheet to layout peaks and troughs of a ski season calendar.

If you are an adult (19+), all you have to do is to grab you skis, jump in a car, drive to Jay Peak resort and buy an adult ticket for $67.00. As far as I understand – and you can always check on their site – there are no holiday, Sunday or Midweek rates – just one price valid seven days a week.

Too expensive? Get yourself a passport card for $25.00. You will pay $49.00 for you first five visits and your sixth day will be free. Of course, you could just pay for a 5-Day lift ticket and end up with the $49.00 per day deal (245/5=49). However, if we factor in a free day that comes with your sixth visit, the total cost comes down to $45.00. Plus, it seems – though double check with Jay Peak ski resort– that you can use the passport card whenever you want and not just on consecutive days. In other words move up and ski. There aren’t any excuses not to….
